instead of cherry blossoms, azalea

  1. this is one of the side-canals of the Kamo-river, right in front of my hotel, in Kyoto... the tree is a cherry blossom tree, but i had missed the flowers by two weeks, now they were almost all gone. instead, it was the time of azalea, they were everywhere...
(of course, i could not help but sigh imagining the cherry blossoms season, that would have been the best time to travel, indeed).

  2. I'm running out of poetry!

    The same. The same.
    Then once, in a flash,
    fresh ground,...
    A Norman Canal...
    black, grey, green, and blue
    water, stone, grass and sky
    and each unique set stone!

yes haiku, well I don't like any kind of rules in poetry haha but I could temporaritly transform and write one before your journey here ends.clin d'oeil.yes I will have to do that cross my heart with your visual poetry.

  6. i like the second one particularly, it's so painterly--just as the French impressionists intended it to be.

    1. it was a wonderful little spot of colour and light... or, as i have just learned this word in this difficult northern language i can't hope to master one day, a "colourful bower" :-)
